Lauren began as a midwifery student at Midwives College of Utah in January 2023 and joined the Encompass team as a student in March 2023. Her journey in birthwork began as a birth photographer in 2017 and a doula in 2022. Her interest in birthwork ignited with the birth of her first child in 2016, which is what inspired her to start taking photos in the birthing space in 2017. After having her third child at a freestanding birth center in 2021, her knowledge of physiologic birth grew exponentially, which cultivated even more enthusiasm for supporting families through their journeys into parenthood and started her journey to becoming a certified professional midwife.
